Further Customisation
In addition to the various colour and glazing options, we offer further customisation options to help create your ideal bay or window. As we manufacture our own windows, your bay or bow window can be created to meet your own specifications.
Our bay and bow windows also come with a variety of different frame options, so you will be able to select one that will best match the rest of your home. Additionally, we provide various finishing options for our bay and bow windows.
The Difference
Bay and bow windows are frequently confused as they are so similar. Bay windows have 45° angles and three straight sides. You’ll be able to control which windows can be opened and which ones are cosmetic.
On the other hand, bow windows aren’t at such contrasting angles. Rather, multiple small window frames form an arc that adds sophistication to your property.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much are bay and bow windows?
It is difficult to provide a price for your bay and bow windows as various factors contribute to the overall costs. The best way to get a price is to call us at 01985 215566.
How do I hang curtains on a bay or bow window?
If your bay window has three sections, you’ll need rods that let the curtain be pulled all the way around. The hooks in your curtains have gaps where the rod attachment is fed. Bendable rods are ideal for bow windows.
Can you open bow and bay windows?
A typical bay window has three panel and you can choose which ones should open. As bow windows are curved, they may not all open. However, you can design your own bow windows with us.
How can I tell a bow window apart from a bay window?
A bay window has three unique windows that converge at different angles beyond the external part of a wall. Bow windows are broader and curved in appearance.
How many sides are there in a bay window?
A traditional bay window has three sides that are set apart from the wall. One projects outwards and the others sit at a 45° angle to the wall. This design is the most popular and is often featured on older properties throughout the UK.
You may have also heard of box windows. They are rectangular, sit away from the house, and the windows sit at 95° angles. This provides enough room to fit some chairs – or even a table.
Will a new bay or bow window add value to my home?
By improving the external appearance of your property, you’ll improve its value and make it a lighter, brighter, and roomier living space. The extra space will invite more light in, regardless of the direction your windows face. You’ll also enjoy a better view of the outdoors. Although more expensive than conventional double glazing, bow or bay windows include various benefits- including adding value to your home – that outweigh their cost.
How can I use my new bay window?
Take advantage of all that extra space you’ve created. Turn it into a cosy seating area where you can relax while enjoying a better view. Perhaps add some cushions or use your new area to store some books – or, if you have animals, create a pet corner. It’s entirely up to you.

We used this company for replacement doors a few years ago and have now used them to replace some windows. Excellent company with very friendly staff. So happy with the the new windows and were kept informed every step along the way. Thank you 😊
Karen Smith
Very pleased with the whole process. Team were professional and friendly and the team that did the installations were great and did an amazing job, we have a lot of stuff and they took everything in their stride. Love the quality of windows and doors which were much better than the ones they replaced.
Nick Davis
Excellent, very, very pleased. The guys that came to fit my window were pleasant, competent and cleared up all the inevitable mess afterwards. They even put a cloth down to protect the carpets. Highly recommended.

We used New Windows for replacing a few windows and doors for my elderly Mum’s property. We have been repeat customers due to this company’s friendly staff, quality of the windows and workmanship and friendliness of the window fitters (who were great with my Mum). We would definitely recommend New Windows.
